blinding

I'm coming to the end of all my Italy posts, which is making me sad because I just love looking back at all of them.  It's a constant reminder of how amazing and beautiful the country is.  I decided to do a separate posting of the Vatican just because there are so many details and just so much to look at.  And there's gold everywhere. Its actually quite the sight.  My favourite part was definitely the Sistine Chapel.  After staring at the ceiling for 15 minutes you can easily get a sore neck, so I can't even begin to imagine what Michaelangelo went through when he was working hour after hour.

vibrant

*sigh* seriously, looking at my flowers is depressing lately.  They are all so dead.  I water them every day but its been SO hot lately, that I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle.  So instead of showing you my ugly flowers, here are some prettier ones in Italy.

what a sham

So today I played photographer.  A good friend of mine works at the Savoy (a banquet hall in Markham) and needed some promotional photos with an actual bride and groom. Who better to fill in than her best friend and my brother in law (who are not even a couple, but thats not important!).  Anyway, it was tonnes of fun taking photos of the venue, the food and the "couple." So here are some of my ridiculous photos. Why ridiculous? Because of the angles, facial expressions, and their poses.  I have loads more but I just wanted to share with you some of the silly shots of the couple, who tried their hardest to pretend that they were in love.

More of the good stuff later....

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend :)

we who are about to die, salute you!

Ok, ever since "Gladiator" came out in 2000 it has been one of my favourite movies. So while we were at the Colosseum, it was so hard to not replay scenes in my head.  Here are some of my photos! Enjoy!

big foodie

Up until last year, I never considered myself as a "foodie".  I ate food because I had to.  Ever since my first visit to NYC, seen here, I've learned to enjoy food so much more. It became something I looked forward to doing, versus eating just to prevent feeling hungry. So as I'm sure you can imagine, eating in Italy has strengthened this love for food even more.  Everything is so fresh, its hard NOT to fall in love with the food!  Oh, and by the way, the last 5 photos in this post are from the hotel in the Amalfi Coast (seen here). Anyway, my first post of the food in Italy is here.  There's one more post to go :)

Hope you've all had a great dinner! haha!

terracotta and white walls

Good evening my dear followers! :)  It's been an awesome weekend! Great weather, lazy days, but mostly it was the people I was with that made it so good!

Here are some random photos from Praiano, which is a small town on the Amalfi Coast. Pretty sure you can walk the entire town in half an hour.  I'm still constantly dreaming of being back in Bella Italia.

Wishing you all a great week!
