my phone's eye *37*

So, I'm currently blaring music on my computer, totally just wanting to dance.  I'm off tomorrow, which means I have a four day weekend; so I feel.... free. I love it!  Here's some photos from my instagram feed.  I plan on spending my weekend like the upper right photo below! I'm wishing you all a wonderful and relaxing long labour day weekend! See you all in September! :)

takes me away

I've never been sailing before (gasp! yes its true!).  And honestly, walking down Toronto's harbourfront really makes me want to hop on board a sail boat and just float away through the afternoon... but I don't know how to sail, so that plan needs a little adjustment.  In any case, I definitely want to go sailing next summer!  Maybe I should start a list of things I didn't do this summer that I must do next year. Where to start.....

find a spot on the grass

If you've never heard of Toronto's Music garden, well now you have. And you should probably go, especially if you want to relax, listen to birds chirping, and hear music flowing through the evening hours.  It's right on the waterfront, so the view's not too shabby either!  They have different types of extremely talented artists playing music twice a week, and it's a great way to enjoy the outdoors during these last few days of the summer.  I didn't take too many photos as photography isn't allowed (oops! Didn't notice the sign!).  There's still a couple more performances left for the rest of the season. Oh yes, I forgot to mention! Its also free! :)

my phone's eye *36*

So I totally had a random day off today, which was super nice; and sleeping in without feeling guilty was glorious!  So I spent the day at the beach with a good friend :)

Anyway, here's the latest and greatest from my Instagram feed.

Hope you all have a great weekend. It's supposed to be beautiful in Toronto, so get out there and enjoy it, since it's slowly coming to an end!

random saturday

Like I mentioned in this post, it was my dad's birthday a few weeks ago, and he's a huge soccer fan (mostly Greek soccer).  So I decided to take him to a TFC game and have a day for the two of us to hang out.  Well, my dad got sick and so he gave the tickets back to me to take my husband.  Since it's also the opening weekend of the EX, we circled for an hour looking for parking, gave up and parked near the Rogers Centre.  We walked all the way from the Rogers Centre to the Ex since the buses were rammed and the streetcars were out of service.  Once we got to BMO field, the seats were awesome, and I couldn't help but think that my dad would have had an awesome time.

ANYWAY, I had planned to go the the Ex this year, hang out, people watch, play some games and take some pics, so I decided NOT to take my camera. BIG mistake.  The whole time I kept thinking "WHY WHY WHY didn't I bring my camera?!?"  Just being at the TFC game, walking through the crowds at the CNE, walking along the lakeshore for the first time ever (GASP! - yes I've lived in Toronto my entire life), I would have taken a tonne of shots.  So here are the photos I took with my iPhone.  Alas, I will go back with my camera so stay tuned for "better" pictures. Because apparently, as Chase Jarvis says, the best camera is the one that's with you. I clearly need to start carrying my camera EVERYWHERE.

So that was my random saturday.  Hope your weekend was awesome!

Sorry for the essay!
