When I was younger, my parents used to make pickled veggies (cauliflower, pepper, carrots, etc) every year. I have fond memories of them laying everything out on the table, and then cramming them in jars. And then I would have to wait patiently for weeks to eat the soury goodness. So for the past few years, its become a tradition that my sisters and I all gather back home to help our parents make the beloved "toursi" (as we call it in Greek).  This is a little look at what its all about.

Earlier this week, my super creative, talented and awesome friend Candice, organized a photoshoot for a new idea that she's trying on her fashion blog (which you can totally check out here).  Lucky me! She's asked me to be her photographer!!  She wanted to incorporate some people that she had been collaborating with, mainly Scotch and Soda, The Diamond Studio and Damn Heels.  We both took photos and she also took some video clips (not sure if that's an area that I want to venture to!).  Anyway, we had so much fun and can't wait to do it all over again!  You will definitely be seeing more of my work for iCandi in the future! :)  Hope you like!

red rock

I love how beauty like this can be found on the side of a road.

And it was quite hilarious that at the beginning of October, when my husband and I set out to this amazing place, there was frost on the buildings.  I froze. But it was fun, nonetheless! Oh! And the only other people that were there at 8 AM were photographers! HAH!

Anywho, hurricane Sandy is on her way! Stay safe everyone!!

when you're bored.....

Hipstamatic is one of my new favourite iPhone apps. I've had it for forever, but just started using it more. Love it!

Anyway, just wanted to drop in and say hello! Hope you're all having a lovely weekend. And for all you Torontonians, hope you're staying dry!

my phone's eye *45*

Hello!!! It's my sister's birthday today so I'm on my way to dinner with the "girls" (aka mother and sisters!).  Today's the update from my iPhone! I've been using a lot more apps for multiple editing, to the point where I have 4 photos from the one original. I need help!

in the spotlight [maria] - part 2

Here's more of the photo shoot with Maria!  We've known each other since we were 12, when life was all about dancing. And as we got older, it was all about boys. HAHA!  And who else would I stay up with all night learning lyrics to Destiny's Child songs? Needless to say, she's been a true friend for the longest time.  We had such a blast doing these photos, we may just have to do it again (when the weather is warmer)!

sea of orange

I went to a pumpkin patch for the first time in my LIFE a few weekends ago. I had SO much fun! There was a bakery where they were making delicious pastries (they were still warm!), a corn field (more on that later!) and seriously, so many pumpkins of different sizes and shapes! Oh, and I got a little chunk of vanilla/caramel fudge. YUM.
