the view from my galaxy [3]

HI!!!!  Hope you all had a great week! Mine was crazy busy. I felt like I was never home!  I baby sat my sister's kids twice (which was fun!), saw baby Nikolaos again, hosted a dinner party, did some shopping, and pretty much got home late every night.  So I'm definitely looking forward to doing nothing this weekend! Hope you all have a great weekend too!

that sunrise

The lovely man that was running our hotel in Santorini saw that I was up and about one morning taking photos (because that is what one does when they are on vacation), and he advised me that I need to watch the sunrise, and see how it affects the colours of the buildings.  So I woke up one morning while it was still dark and found my lookout point, and wow… it was beautiful. And much more sophisticated than watching the sunset with hundreds of other tourists crammed around you.  It was such a wonderful experience and definitely one that I will never forget.  Those photos are the last few in this post, the rest are other randoms.  Enjoy!

the view from my galaxy [2]

I apologize (but not really) for all the photos of my adorable nephew, aka Baby Nikolaos. But isn't he just the cutest?!?!   Anyway, the second instalment of the galaxy photos includes a jade plant, baby clothes, a 40 day ceremony at church for Mr Nikolaos, his nursery, Kingston the greyhound being his silly usual self, some sunsets, flowers from the tall boy, and an orange.  Riveting stuff ;)

Have a fabulous weekend friends!

little details

You've hopefully seen some of my previous posts on Oia and have seen how beautiful it is.  And up close, all the little details make my heart happy.  Everywhere you turn is another breathtaking view, and cute little windows and doors.

Happy Tuesday!

stacked buildings

*sigh* seriously, Oia and Fira are so pretty. Buildings and houses on top of each other, lining the side of a cliff.  And the paths amongst them are literally mazes.  I would never get tired of these views.

There isn't even a consonant in it's name, and it's pronounced ee-ya, in case you were wondering! It is stunning.  The town itself is a maze of small pathways, winding up and down.  It's definitely a great quad workout! On the one side of the town you'll see the caldera view, and on the other side, is where that famous sunset happens.  Everywhere you look is a picturesque view with white buildings that seem to be built on top of each other, all the way up the cliff.  It's definitely something that everyone needs to see at one point.  Anyway, there are still many more photos of Santorini that I need to share, so stay tuned! :)
