chania

Hello!  Happy Tuesday!  Hopefully you aren't getting tired of all my Greece photos, but the good news is that we are almost at the end!  So here's Chania. You saw a first glimpse in this post,  and I have a few more photos to share with you.  The harbour is really pretty.  Like I mentioned previously, there's a lot of Italian influence in this city, but also a little bit of a Turkish one as well.  You notice this especially in the food.  Regardless, its all beautiful and the food was fantastic (we had two favourite restaurants while we were there!).

the view from my galaxy [6]

Oh My God, Baby Nikolaos overload!!!! The fact that my 3 month old nephew is now smiling at me, doesn't make it any easier to not take a million photos of him.  Anyway, other than wishing I was spending all day with the little munchkin, this week's edition of my phone photos include: dinner and shopping dates with friends, more coffee (is there ever "too much" coffee? hmm, don't think so), a beauty of a sunset, peppers (i've started randomly taking photos at the grocery store; it's definitely resulted in some weird looks ahha!), my office at work, a friend's birthday party, a map (we booked our next trip, wuhooo!), and some spring decor!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!!

windows and doors

Hi!!! Hope you all had a fantastic Tuesday!

I'm taking you back to the island of Crete.  The island itself is huge and would require several hours just to drive from one end to the other.  We decided to stay in Chania, which is on the north western part of the island and has a beautiful old harbour (I'll share those pictures later!).  Anyway, walking around Chania, you can see the contrast between it and the previous islands we had been to.  Less blue and white; more yellows, oranges, pinks and greens.  There was definitely a more Italian influence to this city.  It was beautiful! I loved all the colours, and the architecture of all the windows and doors.  Little details are my favourite!   Have a look for yourselves!  Enjoy!

#thecharcoalsecret

Two weeks ago, I was asked to be the event photographer for the launch of the new Charcoal mask from Biore.  It was held at F-Stop in Toronto and a bunch of fashion/beauty bloggers were invited to test out the new product.  Jessi Cruickshank (That redheaded chick from The CW's Oh Sit!, The Style Network, MTV's The Hills After Show, E! Canada and Etalk) is the new face of the product.  She is hilarious.  She told us about her experiences on the red carpet and who her favourite (and least favourite) celebs were.  I had a blast, and was lucky enough to go home with some freebies.  And really, the charcoal mask is fabulous!   Check out #thecharcoalsecret on twitter and instagram for other photos from the event!

Happy Monday!!

the view from my galaxy [5]

I'm amazed at myself that I'm actually doing this post on a Thursday night.  This is the first time I don't have plans on a Thursday night in (I don't really remember how many) weeks.   So this edition of the phone photos includes obviously my favourite little person in the world, Baby Nikolaos, a going away party for a co-worker, a fortune cookie, a sunrise and sunset, shopping dates, brunching, some artichokes, and a photography event that I did last night with Biore launching their new face mask.  Fun times!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.  Its finally going above the freezing mark!

perfect beach

You can't find this beach on a map, so who even knows how we found it.  But I needed to go there because of the fact that it was so secluded.  The drive down the coast was enough to make me think that I was going to die, and then we had to hike down a very narrow path down the side of the cliff.  I was wearing flip-flops.  But when we finally reached the beach, it was totally worth it.  You could literally climb the side of the rock and dive into the water like jumping off a diving board. And the water was perfectly crystal clear.  And we were one of maybe 25 people there.  Perfection.  Take me there. NOW.
